Every year I host a winter solstice ceremony with friends and family.  As part of the ceremony and to anchor in the energy of the coming year I gift a seed to grow. This year I chose the purple passion flower.  This flower represents the opening of the crown chakra.  As a extra anchor I included symbols I received from spirit.  I am gifting these as well to go with the seed.  Each one is an energetic anchor for each stage of germination and growth.  I also created one to anchor the energy of the solstice.  May your coming year be filled with passion and purpose.

PURPLE PASSION FLOWER
Corona spiralis
This flower is known in the codex field as the crown spiral and breath of surrender.  Within in its structure is a central spiral ( monad), five-fold symmetry ( breath balance), and a radiant corona that activates the crown chakra. It is more than a flower, it is a breath map.
SPIRITUAL MEANING
This flower represents the crown chakra opening through breath, not force. You are invited to receive without grasping ( non- attachment). You are in a divine phase of stillness.  You are being asked to spiral upward instead of outward.
This flower does not bloom through struggle. Last year was transformation though facing our shadow.  Now you are ready to spiral open.  This is power vs force.  You are being asked to let the breath of spirit open you. There is no resistance or pushing only spiraling open.
You are ready alchemize the energy of last year into fuel for your passion and purpose. This flower is anchor for the breath before release.  It is the stillness before rebirth, the spiral before the leap. You are being asked to breath into your crown chakra to release control and let the spiral open itself.
